Scarlet Blade, also known as Queen's Blade in Asia, was a sci-fi/fantasy MMORPG developed by Korean developer Liveplex in 2012 and localized in the US and Europe in 2013 by Aeria Games. The game was very adult oriented, marketed as being the sexiest MMO ever made, which was probably true at the time. Other than the obsurdly revealing outfits, and outright nudity on occasion, as well as an excellent sense of humor, or at least I thought so, Scarlet Blade was a pretty standard MMORPG. It featured seven unique classes, two factions, tab targeting combat, decent enough character customization, and graphics that while not bad are certainly not something to brag about. In spite it being an overall mediocre MMO, I still found it quite enjoyable, and a pretty good option for when I've had a long day and wanted to just kick back and relax. As such, I was quite disappointed when I received an email from Areia Games saying that the game was being shut down back in 2016.

So, why am I making a post about a pervy game I used to play that's been shut down? Well as the title of this post suggests, Scarlet Blade has returned from the brink of death. A group called Vendetta Gaming Network has relaunched the game on a private server, and anyone can sign up and play it. Cytus 2 wiki. I've been playing it again as much as I could over the last month or so, and it's exactly like I remember it, but this time with no cash shop and no censorship. There are loot crates that you can buy through Vendetta's website, but they are purely cosmetic items with a few consumables that you will have a lot of anyways just by playing the game. Overall the game is decent enough and I highly recommend for anyone who used to play it or is looking for a game that is best enjoyed with your brain turned off or with a bit of alcohol.
